This recipe is from the kitchen of Maria Horvath where they call this dessert Dupla – or seconds (like in a second helping).
1 package vanilla wafers
12 – 24 oz sour cream
¼ - ½ C sugar
Dash of vanilla extract
2 Cans – canned fruit of choice (mandarins, strawberries, peaches, etc)
Line bottom of springform pan with vanilla wafers. Drain fruit and layer over vanilla wafers. Mix sour cream and sugar and extract; spoon over fruit. Repeat layers, ending with sour cream mixture. Cover and freeze for 2-3 hours. Remove sides of springform pan, slice in wedges to serve. (Size of pan will determine amounts needed.)
